Coverly, a home protection plan provider that partners with credit unions, is excited to announce its partnership with Erika Hoffmann—a trailblazer in motorsports, where women make up just 4% of professional racecar drivers. This collaboration aims to showcase the unique features of Coverly's home protection plan programs while celebrating Erika’s inspiring career as a young woman in racing.
Starting out with no industry connections, racing experience, or financial support, Erika's talent and dedication accelerated her onto the professional track. She started out by taking her regular street car to a local racetrack for lapping one summer and in 2021, ranked first out of 1,000 drivers in the Formula Woman International Driver Search Competition. She currently competes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge, supported by Coverly Founder and Open Lending Co-Founder John Flynn, and aspires to reach the pinnacle of North American racing.
Erika is also a co-founder of Slate Racing, a woman-led initiative focused on promoting diversity and equality in motorsport. Through Slate Racing, Erika is committed to providing opportunities for women in the motorsports industry. Her journey is not just about personal success but also about paving the way for others.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with Erika," said John Flynn, Founder of Coverly. “Her story of breaking into the extremely male dominated field of professional racecar driving is inspiring. Our partners are primarily credit unions, where 51% of the CEOs are women compared to only 4% of bank CEOs being women.” John reflects on his 40 years of experience in the credit union and lending space, “This statistic is because of credit unions’ emphasis on their members and service-oriented missions, which motivates us to provide industry leading products for these organizations.”
Coverly's game changing approach to home warranties—leveraging AI to streamline the claims process and empowering customers to choose their own technicians—stood out to Erika as a refreshing alternative in an industry often criticized for inefficient processes and a lack of customer-centricity.
Erika Hoffmann said this about Coverly, "Partnering with Coverly is truly an honor. From the moment I connected with John and his team, I was struck by how genuine and supportive they are of my racing career. I have so much trust and admiration for the way they run their company: it’s built on integrity, reliability, and doing right by people. Having partners like Coverly, who not only believe in my story but also share those values, means the world to me."

Coverly is spearheading the digital transformation of the home warranty sector for more comprehensive and affordable plans. By leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, using data to maximize plan value, and giving customers the freedom to choose their own technicians, Coverly sets new standards in the industry. This collaboration targets credit unions and mortgage lenders for business-to-business partnerships, offering home protection plan programs to help these companies enhance their customer experience and diversify their portfolio.
“I look forward to seeing how Erika energizes other women to start racing careers, and how this improves the sport for athletes and fans.” John remarks. “She is only getting faster each time she races, and we are proud to have her represent Coverly.”
The partnership kicked off earlier this month at the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge at Virginia International Raceway. Erika will continue to race in the Cayman Pro-AM series this season as her racecar displays the Coverly logo.
