​​​Erika Hoffmann is a Canadian racing driver with a nontraditional path into motorsport. Starting with no experience, no funding and zero connections, she progressed to international competition in just a few years.

Her journey began by cold-calling her local racetrack and volunteering simply to get close to the sport. She started driving in lapping days in her everyday road car with the goal of one day racing competitively. That persistence led to a breakthrough in 2022, when she entered the Formula Woman International Driver Search. Competing against more than 1,000 drivers from 35 countries, Erika won the competition with no prior racing experience, earning a seat in a McLaren GT4 in the UK and launching her international career.

Since then, she has continued to build momentum across multiple disciplines. She represented Canada at the FIA Rally Star Final, finishing as the top North American female driver, and went on to become a Porsche race winner in her first season of Porsche Sprint Challenge North America.

In 2026, Erika stepped up to SRO GT4 America, marking her transition into multi-manufacturer GT competition. She is also the first Canadian selected for the Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program.

Beyond her on-track results, Erika is the co-founder of Slate Racing, a female-led team focused on creating opportunities for women and underrepresented talent in motorsport. Competing as one of the few women on a predominantly male grid, she understands firsthand how limited access and representation can be. Through her work, she aims to expand access to the sport and show that people of all backgrounds belong in the paddock.
